Laura Patterson

Joining Archipelago in 2023, Laura has a diverse background across architecture practice, visual art, architectural illustration and academia.

Previous architecture experience has imbued a joy in the detailed crafting of human scaled spaces and an appreciation of the use of expressed material and structural honesty as a means of layering and controlling spaces without applied ornament.

Outside her work with Archipelago, Laura is a represented artist with Jan Murphy Gallery and is a seasonal academic in the University of Queensland's architecture department.
