205 dwellings over two buildings
Making a place for people that is accessible and affordable, while also being meaningful, authentic and connected to context.
Carseldine Village is a well-planned urban precinct within the fabric of a established suburban residential community, offering 205 dwellings, in a mix of Silver, Gold and Platinum LHA configurations, distributed across a dual building form.
Sustainable design thinking is embedded in the development form response, ensuring the requirements of a 5 star Green Star development can be met. A central green link establishes a green address for residents, stitching into, connecting with and enhancing the Carseldine Village master plan. Homes are “pulled apart” to facilitate genuine cross-ventilation through the plan, with sun shading provided to the eastern and western facades and a naturally ventilated stair connecting the vertical neighbourhood with the central green address.
The provision of affordable, people-centric housing is prioritised, offering mobility innovation and deprioritising the car. Passive design, the selection of robust and low maintenance materials all contribute to lowering the cost of living.
The proposed development has been designed to benefit from emerging innovative smart building / design for manufacture and assembly / modern methods of construction, supporting the Queensland Government’s objectives.
